Raaga Yuga: Awakening of Astras by Dr. Sidharth Behera is an ambitious fantasy narrative that brings together mythology, adventure, philosophy, and imagination into a grand cinematic universe. The story begins with the awakening of an ancient Astra beneath a mysterious forest, setting the stage for a journey filled with forgotten prophecies, divine powers, hidden realms, and the eternal battle between light and darkness.
The uniqueness of the book lies in the way it approaches Indian mythology. Instead of simply retelling familiar legends, the author creates a new fictional universe inspired by ancient concepts. The Astras, divine weapons associated with immense power, become more than weapons; they represent knowledge, responsibility, and the relationship between power and purpose.
The protagonist Arhaan’s journey forms the emotional heart of the story. Marked by the Seal of Rudra, he is not merely a warrior chosen by destiny but a character who must understand his own abilities, overcome uncertainty, and discover the deeper meaning behind his mission. His search for the legendary Astras becomes both an external adventure and an internal journey of growth.
Dr. Sidharth Behera’s storytelling reflects a strong interest in Indian philosophy and ancient wisdom. The concept of Raagas holding power creates a fascinating bridge between music, memory, and energy. This creative idea gives the narrative a distinct identity and separates it from conventional fantasy stories.
The book’s greatest strength is its world-building. The author introduces readers to a universe where gods, guardians, warriors, and mysterious forces exist together. The atmosphere is filled with wonder and curiosity, encouraging readers to explore every secret hidden within the story.
Raaga Yuga: Awakening of Astras will appeal to readers who enjoy mythology-inspired fiction, epic adventures, and imaginative storytelling. It is a work that celebrates Indian cultural imagination while presenting it through the lens of modern fantasy.
